Hello, folks. Yet again, I am not sure if this is where this sort of thing goes on these forums, but I wanted to test the waters for interest in Pokémon games not run PTA/PTU game systems. I would really love to run at least a Season (if not more) of Primetime Adventures in a Pokémon setting. (I'd houserule in the up-to-six-Pokémon team with the Edges/Connections mechanics. Though I still need to figure out the limit of use per episode to keep things balanced.) I might also be interested in running GRIMM in a dark reflection of the Anime's setting. Those are the only two game systems I own that would fit the feel of Pokémon well enough. Would anyone else be interested in playing in one of those games? Are there any other RPGs which might convert nicely to Pokémon? (PTA/PTU are basically D&D 4e, so that's already done. )

Moved to the Concept Building board, as the Q&A is for general site questions. Concept board is for seeking interest and/or planning for games not yet fleshed out. I'd definitely be interested in seeing more varieties of Pokemon forum RPGs, although I don't know many that would fit it well (and am not familiar with most you've mentioned xD). I'd possibly be interested in applying to one, though!

I honestly think Ironclaw would convert to a decent version of PMD. It would be incredibly different from PTU, and would need quite a bit of houseruling in general of course, but its a pretty simple system once you've played with it.

I'm wondering if some version of ORE would work as well. After all, it's already got "Monsters and Other Childish Things" as well as a Super Hero setting and a medieval one, so it's certainly flexible enough.

Axley and Sneve are hard at work building Paradise. XD Hmm... Would PMD work better for a TV series type game than the actual TV series?

I'm really interested in getting into a Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine game some time, and I think that it could be modified for a Pokemon game rather easily, since most of the system is about character interaction and development, without much assumption of a setting. (There is a default setting, but the system is easy to take out of it.)

MaOCT would work pretty well. It would need some house-ruling to handle pokémon, but I'd be up to testing the waters with that one. Could even run it. The idea of statting pokémon in such a freeform way makes me salivate.
The only issue I see with it is that it's probably not fit for PbP (but arguably neither is PTU).
I've read Grimm, and I'm not quite sure it'd work, since many of its mechanics are based around you changing how the world works using your dreams.
And for the same reason, I'm not sure Chuubo's is a good fit for pokémon, since much of it is built on the expectation that you *will* be overly powerful. Then again, there is the ability to play at the mortal level, so the main issue is getting pokémon to work.

I haven't quite gotten through the whole brick that book makes up. >_< MaOCT?

Oh, man, you're running another game of Primetime Adventures? Count me in!

Oh, man, you're running another game of Primetime Adventures? Count me in! You do rememeber that the last one died in about a week because Spotlight character of the Pilot episode went MIA, right? But, yeah, I'm planning to, though I'm not quite sure when I'll be starting it up.
